Gigi Papoulias is a Greek-American translator based in Athens. A graduate of Boston College, she focused on Modern Greek Studies in her academic work. As a grant recipient at the University of Athens, she completed advanced coursework in Greek Literature. She was a selected participant at Princeton University’s Literary Translation seminar, with a translation from the work of Greek author Marios Hakkas.

Her writing and literary translations have been published in literary journals in the US and in Greece.

Gigi is also the translator for the nonprofit Solomon, an award-winning independent media group based in Athens which is dedicated to investigative journalism that serves the public interest.
